What to Expect at This Year’s INCLUSION Art Show & Sale
Contributed by: Justine Chubb, Senior Communications Specialist
posAbilities’ 14th Annual INCLUSION Art Show & Sale takes place on October 11th from 10:30am-8:30pm at Heritage Hall in Vancouver (3102 Main Street, Vancouver). October is Community Inclusion month in British Columbia and we welcome you to join us for BC’s largest disability art show. This event is open to the public and admission is by donation. The venue is fully accessible and American Sign Language interpretation will be provided from 10:30am-2pm and 5:30-8:30pm.
This year’s show will once again feature the work of over 150 artists who work independently or in studios supported by Community Living organizations across Metro Vancouver. And back by popular demand, live art demonstrations! Cody Tresierra is a mouth painting artist who excels in landscapes and seascapes, AJ Brown specializes in pet portraits and abstract paintings, and many more will be live on site during the day.
We would like to thank the British Columbia Government Employees Union (BCGEU) for their continuous support and involvement as our lead sponsor again this year. We’d also like to thank Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) for being a valued supporter of our show, in particular the students and faculty of the Education Assistant Program. Learn more about KPU and stop by our info table at the show.
You can also look forward to some delicious food, a cash bar in the evening and live music from a pianist and jazz trio – we hope to see you there! For more information, contact Justine at 604-299-4001 or communications@posAbilities.ca and visit: www.inclusionartshow.com
We need volunteers!
We need help in a variety of areas from greeting guests at the door to preparing and serving food. Rally your kids, partners, friends, co-workers, and family members to come out and support this fantastic event. Contact Andrea Hrysko at ahrysko@posabilities.ca to volunteer.
