
QUALITY ASSURANCE
At posAbilities, ensuring ongoing quality is a big part of how we provide person-centred services. Our Continuing Quality Assurance (CQA) team reviews all programs and services to make sure we:
- empower the people we support to take control of their lives, connect with their communities, and improve their quality of life;
- reduce isolation by helping individuals build friendships and networks;
- respect and nurture each person’s uniqueness and creativity;
- stay focused on our person-centred values and vision;
- offer ongoing support and training to all staff.
The CQA team focuses on five key areas: individuals, services, programs, families and communities, and policies. By asking the right questions, adapting to change, and building quality into everything we do, we continuously improve how we serve our community.
COR certification
We are Certificate of Recognition (COR) certified by WorkSafeBC for our exemplary occupational health and safety program and practices. This recognition highlights our commitment to keeping both the people we support and our staff safe.
CARF accreditation
posAbilities has earned CARF International’s highest level of accreditation for:
- Behavioural Consultation Services (Children, Adolescents, Adults)
- Community Employment Services (Job Development)
- Community Housing
- Community Integration
- Host Family/Shared Living Services
- Respite Services
- Services Coordination
- Supported Living
CARF accreditation is a seal of trust, showing our commitment to providing the best possible support based on global standards. This recognition follows a detailed review and an on-site visit by CARF surveyors.
CQI Responsibilities
The Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) Officer works with our team to:
- maintain accreditation and meet CARF standards;
- refine quality systems and track results;
- train staff to ensure excellence in all areas;
- handle the Complaints Resolution Process.
