It’s that magical time of year again, when cold dark nights are brightened with tinsel and fairy lights and many of us reflect on the year gone by. posAbilities would like to share the warmth of the season and invite you on a trip down memory lane by viewing our holiday greeting:
The beautiful painting featured in the video is “Winter Wonderland” by David Cairns, who is the winner of the posAbilities holiday card design contest. The painting was purchased by posAbilities at the 9th Annual Art Show and is proudly displayed at the organisation’s head office.
David is an artist with BridgeArt, a group supported by the Langley Association for Community Living. This flourishing community arts initiative began in 1998 with a small group of individuals who wished to develop their artistic skills and express themselves creatively. 15 years later, the group is as strong as ever, with artists frequently showing their work at local art exhibitions and through participation in community events and projects.
David focuses on painting with acrylics, creating realistic landscapes from his imagination and photos. He also loves exploring different art techniques, mastering them with speed and enthusiasm, and sharing his knowledge with others.
