Another wonderful Community Inclusion Month has come and gone. Thank you for celebrating with us during our online INCLUSION Art Show. We reached a total of more than $10,000 dollars in sales this year! A big round of applause to this year’s artists and studios — and to everyone who visited the site, purchased art, attended an art demo, and helped spread the word. We are also grateful to our wonderful community sponsors and supporters: the BC Government Employees Union, Coquitlam Public Library, the City of Vancouver, and Christ Church Cathedral.

Here are some of this year’s highlights:

Watch Our Artist Demos

Throughout the month, we featured live demos and conversations with some of our participating artists. Check out this post to find a round up of all these events and watch the recordings!

Hear About the INCLUSION Art Show on the Radio

Artist Bart Vulliamy and our own Monique Nelson joined the Accessibility Collective to talk about INCLUSION and accessibility in the arts on All Access Pass. Listen to the episode here.

The show was also featured on The Self Advocate podcast, where Justine Olah from our Art Show Committee joined host Alison Klein. Listen to the episode here.

Say Congratulations to Our Holiday Card Contest Winner!

Painting of a red bird with black wings sitting on a snowy branch. The bird looks comically annoyed at the large ball of snow collecting on its head.

Congratulations to Gabby Lam from the Richmond Society for Community Living, whose painting Frozen Bird was selected as the winner of our Holiday Card Contest!

See you next year!

We can’t wait to see you again in 2022! In the meantime, we are proud to celebrate inclusive arts year-round.
