Transitioning Young Adults to Bright Futures – An Invitation to Explore InclusionWorks

When: Thursday, March 21 | 7pm – 8:30pm

Where: Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion (2702 Norland Avenue, Burnaby)

What: As our young adults transition out of the school system, we are thinking about the next stage in their journey. While community inclusion day programs exist, we see an alternative option that will allow these youth to shine and fully realize their potential. We wish to create a person-centered alternative that will provide employment, life skills training, and socialization for a small group of peers. InclusionWorks is an existing model of family governed service. It involves families pooling together their CLBC resources with support from a Host Agency to create a customized youth transition program. Come join us and meet other families, as we learn from Arlene Zuckernick, a parent who has done this all before. Plus, our very our Monique Nelson, Director of Community Engagement, will be presenting! Refreshments and a list of reading materials will be provided.
