When it comes to raising kids and teenagers, everyone has an opinion.  There are so many ideas out there.  So how do you know what’s best and what works?  The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program takes the guesswork out of parenting.  It is one of the few parenting programs in the world with the evidence to show it works for most families.  Triple P gives parents simple tips to help manage the big and small problems of family life. Problems like toddler tantrums or teenage rebellion, self-esteem issues, bedtime battles, disobedience or aggression. Triple P can help you deal with them all – and more! crying girlLaurel Behaviour Support Services (LBSS) is pleased to be able to offer the evidence based Triple P parenting program through our certified consultants in Burnaby starting next month in February.  This group based training is designed for parents of children up to 12 years old. We keep the costs as low as we can as a not for profit, and offer subsidy and child-minding if needed.

The program is delivered over the course of nine weeks from February 12 – April 9, with six sessions in a center together as a group and three 1:1 private sessions with a consultant over the phone.  The deadline to register is Monday, February 2.

The great thing about this highly effective program is that families have options as one size does not fit all.  Some families prefer the targeted information from the group meetings while others enjoy interacting with the other parents in the group.  There is also the opportunity to discuss specific goals during the 1:1 telephone sessions with our consultants.  The hope is that families will benefit from both the instruction and networking opportunities.

Consider registering for this program to help you identify your goals while exploring your own strengths and abilities and those of your children.  Contact our Team Leader at (778) 945-1435 or email [email protected] to register or if you have any questions – we’re here to help!  For more information about this program, please see our poster.
