Saddle up and don’t miss this hilarious take of life during the Gold Rush!

Howdy Partners! Mark your calendars and tighten your belt buckles ‘cause on September 5, 10, 11 & 12 you’re gonna see the latest production of the Stage Door Theatre players, affectionately called: Stage Door Goes West…AGAIN! Why again do you say? Well, let me tell ya. In 2020 the players started making this show, and were interrupted by a pandemic that was only supposed to last a short while…but that darn pandemic dragged on and on. Finally, the players got to share a few bits of Western Flavouring when they tied their horses to the local JJ Bean bar and ranch. Now, it’s 2024 and they’s all ready to gallop gain, not even a HandiDart strike can stop ‘em now!

And my oh my, was it worth the wait! We got us some Gunslingers (Nicholas Chan, Elliott Headley), Bartenders (Colin Darge, Sandra Vinciguerra), a Saloon Girl (Jenna Delima), Sherriff (Altan Thomas), Deputee (Kim Dhesi) and even a Judge (Jimmy Trinh) on this here stage coach. Not to mention the sights of those delightful Kitten Sisters (Sara Lipetz and Sara J. Southey), cow pokes, townsfolk, bankers (Martin Wong), and a lucky Prospector (Philip Godolphin). They showed us likes of cowboy words, how to cook roadkill, what “High Noon” really means, where to find GOLD, the kind of compromise a Kitten sister has to make in desperate times, and life in the Saloon…

A note about our guest performer, Miss Sara J. Southey – well, she lends her feminine charm to the show, enticing the wiley Tumbleweed Slim (Jackie Tam) to her side. A professional actor who has worked in TV, film and live theatre, Miss Sara shorely added a bit of spice to the stew.

Last but not least, we also got little picture show. Silent movies showed off the talents of each and every player – shorts like Horse Station, School House, Silent Movie, Sacred Cowboy, Bank Robbery and Wheel of Justice round out the night! Featuring these stars on film: Samira D’Souza, Andy Lum, Krista Menges, Tina Paris, Sangeeta Rekhi, Adam Sturhahn and Tal Yoeman, and some of the others too.

So go on now, head on over and step out for a rip-roaring good time at this year’s final production of Stage Door Goes West… AGAIN! It is not to be missed!
